Construction of 2nd Extraterritorial Iranian DRI Plant with Iranian technology ‘ PERED ‘
The second extraterritorial Iranian DRI Plant will be constructed.
According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, MOU on construction of DRI plant with ‘ PERED ‘ Iranian technology and steel plant with investment of Chinese company in Peru was signed.
The contract for the construction of the first DRI plant in South America was signed between the Chinese investor and the Iranian company MME as the owner of PERED technology.
Annual capacity of this project is one million tons of DRI which will be used in the steelmaking plant. Likewise, construction of steel plant with Iranian technology will be conducted by MME Company in Peru.
First extraterritorial PERED plant in China
As the successful construction of four DRI plant with PERED technology in Iran and construction of first extraterritorial plant in China (world’s top steel producer country) so, foreign investors attracted to this technology.
