Steel exports of china in August registered the second highest record this year.
Exports are expected to decrease in September and October but remain relatively in high levels as domestic demand is weak and steel production is high.
In August, steel exports grew 13% from the previous month and 35% compared to August last year to 8.282 million tonnes.
It is worthy to mention that between January and August, China’s steel exports grew by 28 percent, and hit 58.785 million tonnes. Steel imports fell 5.6 percent monthly and 28 percent from the previous year, by 640,000 tonnes and in the previous eight months imports fell 32% and 5.058 million tonnes was recorded.
