The World Steel Association (WSA) reports that Iran has retained its global ranking and remained among the top 10 steel producers in the world.
According to the report, crude steel production in the world during the 10 months of 2023 has reached over 1.5 billion metric tons (mt).
Accordingly, major steel production companies in the world produced more than 1.5 billion mt of crude steel from January to the end of October 2023, showing a 0.2 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
It said Iran’s crude steel production reached 25.1 million mt from January to the end of October 2023.
According to the report by WAS, Iran has remained as the 10th largest steel producer in the world by producing over 3.1 million mt of crude steel in October 2023.
