‎ The statistics of the Association of Steel Producers regarding the amount of imports of steel products during the nine months of this year indicates that for the majority of steel items in the steel chain of the country, the amount of domestic production is responsive and there is no need for imports or has been less. But for flat sections and steel products ,compared to the same period last years , imports increased .‎

‎During the 9 months of this year, the total import of various types of flat and ‎‎middle‎‎ steel sections has decreased. For ‎‎sponge iron‎‎ and pellets  As in recent years, imports is being zero, but the ‎‎amount of imports‎‎ in steel products and flat steel sections has increased.‎

During the 9 months of this year, the total imports of various types of long steel sections have been recorded 73 thousand tons ‎according to the statistics provided by the Association of Iranian Steel Manufacturers. in comparison to 113,000 tons imported in the same period last year, It has decreased by 35% and it shows a decrease in the need for imports of these sections.‎
