In this meeting, Mohammad Reza Pirhosseinloo, MD of the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone, announced: The special zone is about 5,000 hectares, The most important advantage of the Special Zone is the availability of its electricity, gas and water supply, infrastructure.‎

‎He added that the amount of unloading and loading of minerals in the special zone reached about 11 million tons in 10 months this year.‎

‎Pirhosseinlou, while pointing to exports in the Special Zone,declared:” The amount of our exports reached about two billion dollars in 1401 (Iranian calendar ) while in 11 months of the current year, that amount has reached $2,700 billion.‎

‎At the end, the managing director of the Persian Gulf Special Zone, while thanking the board members and its staff, stated: “The facilitative look change in the special zone for private sector investment activities in the region under no circumstances should not be forgotten and  must always be in front of our eyes.”‎

‎Bahram Sobhani, president of the Iranian Steel Producers Association, while  expressing his satisfaction with the presence in the Persian Gulf Special Zone, stated: “From the earliest days of the establishment of the special zone, I was familiar with its activities due to my various travels. It should be noticed that the Persian Gulf Special Zone is one of the few places in the country where real development is taking place. The growth and development in this area is clearly visible. The last time I visited this area and Hormozgan Steel company, many development projects were under construction in this company and special zone. You can see the meaning of development in this area. This is a happy event, which both creates jobs and encourages economic development.‎

‎He added: “The Special Zone is a base for the development of the country’s exports. While other special and free zones do most of the imports, all companies based in the Persian Gulf Special Zone are manufacturing and exporting.‎
