Iran’s new Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Mohammad Atabak has said his programs will be mainly focused on realizing production leap under the framework of the Seventh National Development Plan.
On his first day of work as the minister, Atabak held a meeting with his deputies on Thursday, in which he said: “With two economic and planning points of view, we follow up the production leap, and the framework we want to follow is the seventh National Development Plan.”
“The government of President Pezeshkian is a special government, and the most important issue in the 14th government is national unity; I hope that we can have such unity in the government entities as well,” the new minister said.
Stating that the framework he wants to follow is the framework of the seventh National Development Plan, he added: “There are differences of opinion, but we can cooperate when the conditions in the ministry and the country improve. I hope that we all can sympathize with each other in the ministry.”
In this meeting, Abbas Aliabadi, the former Industry Minister, also considered the successes achieved in various fields as the result of the diligent efforts of the ministry employees, provincial offices, companies, and subsidiary organizations and thanked them for their efforts.
Mohammad Atabek was elected as the Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade of the 14th government on Wednesday evening, August 21, after receiving a vote of confidence from the parliament.
