Managing director of Mobarakeh Steel Company stated: The 600 MW Mobarakeh Steel Power Plant in east part of Isfahan, as the largest solar power plant in Iran and the 25th largest solar power plant in the world, is ready to be used.
Mohammad Yaser Tayebnia added: “The first phase of this power plant is being put into operation in cooperation with the Energy pak foolad ,Sanayee niroo & MAPNA Company, and the full operation of this project will be carried out with an investment of 20,000 billion tomans by Mobarakeh Steel.”
He added: “Currently, the first part of this project has been exploited at a rate of 20 megawatts, and the electricity produced has been connected to the national electricity grid.”
Managing director of Mobarakeh Steel Company announced: The panels required to produce 120 megawatts of electricity are available at the site of the power plant, and this amount of electricity is supposed to be connected to the national electricity grid by the end of the year.
Tayebnia continued: “After the process of operation and at the peak of production, Mobarakeh Steel Solar Power Plant has the ability to produce energy equivalent to one-fifth of the capacity of Iran’s largest power plant, the Damavand Combined Cycle Power Plant, .”
As a result, it can play an important role in the economic and environmental development of Iran and facilitate the path of Mobarakeh Steel in achieving green steel.
According to Mobarakeh Steel, the official opening ceremony of the first phase of this power plant will be held soon in the presence of national and provincial officials.
