The mines chain provides a suitable opportunity for developing economic relations with Uzbekistan / Iranian companies have a high potential for exporting technical and engineering services to Uzbekistan.
Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors of IMIDRO stated:
the mine and mineral industries sector is a suitable area for developing relations with Uzbekistan.
According to IMIDRO’s public relations, Mohammad Aghajanlou, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, in a meeting with Shokhrukh Gulamov Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, while pointing to Iran’s progress in this sector : “Exporting technical and engineering services in the fields of mining and material processing, as well as production of products such as steel, copper, gold, etc., have created suitable fields for increasing the level of cooperation between the two countries.”
Aghajanlou, in this meeting attended by deputies and directors of IMIDRO,while emphasizing the growth of capabilities of Iranian companies in design, engineering, and launching of mining and mineral industries projects, added:
Iran possesses the knowledge to produce direct reduction (DRI) and has even exported it abroad ,therefor it is possible to have good cooperation with Uzbek counterparts in this area.
