Due to the issued data by World Steel Association, the average annual growth rate of world steel production has reached zero.‎

‎According to ‎‎Chilan‎‎, the World Steel Association has published the following table showing the average annual growth rate of world steel production from 1950 to 2024. ‎

‎ The data in the table indicate that although the average growth rate of production from 1950 to 2020 has always been positive (with the exception of the years 1990 to 1995), in the years 2020 to 2024, the average annual growth rate of this index has been zero.‎
