The amount of crude steel or intermediate steel production in1403 (Iranian Calendar) was 30 million and 285 thousand tons, of which 19 million and 52 thousand tons were converted into billets and blooms and 11 million and 233 thousand tons into slabs.
According to the Iranian Steel Producers Association, billets and blooms form 62.9% of the country’s raw steel ,they are mostly used in construction and have been turned into products such as all kinds of iron beams, rebars, profiles, corners, and even railway rails.
Also, 30.1% has been allocated to the production of slabs, using for the production of various types of sheets.
According to this report, in the past year, 21 million and 585 thousand tons of steel products were produced, of which 12 million and 493 thousand tons have been converted into long steel sections such as various types of steel beams, rebar, corners, studs, and other steel sections.
Also, 9,092,000 tons of steel flat sections including hot plate, cold plate, and coated sheet have been converted.
