The Briquetting Unit of ghaenat Steel Complex was opened and put into operation yesterday afternoon on the occasion of the Government Week with the presence of the governor of South Khorasan, the representative of ghaenat people in the Islamic Consultative Assembly and a group of local Authorities and officials.

According to the Public Relations of Ghaenat Steel Complex, the briquetting unit is one of the expansion sectors of the complex that has provided sustainable employment for 20 people , with a capacity of 33,000 tons of briquettes per year.

According to this report, the cold briquette unit is produced with crushing resistance of at least 400 kg and is one of the most important seed resources of steel making units.

Eng. Ahmadzadeh, the director of Ghaenat Steel Complex while congratulated the government week and commemorated the memory of the martyrs of the state, especially the martyrs of Rajaee and Bahonar, stated : “We are pleased that with the opening of the briquetting unit, we are one step closer to the opening and operation of the steel making unit and hoping that to celebrate  the major opening ceremony soon.”

He also mentioned : This use of this product is  to solve the problems of sponge iron in the transportation and melting stage, especially when massive furnaces are being used.

he stated : “More than 90 percent of Iran’s production briquettes are exported to our western neighboring and Persian Gulf countries.

The Governor of South Khorasan also congratulated the government week and commemorated the memory of Rajaee and Bahonar martyrs and stated: “Thank God that we attended in  this complex to see the success of the skilled and efficient experts of ghaenat Steel Complex again , and we are pleased that with the efforts of our dear friends, Briquetting unit is being  put into operation on the second day of the government week.

The governor of South Khorasan added: we have to appreciate the efforts of the senior management of the National Iranian Steel Company and the experts of this company for the proper plans and measures that they take, hope to see the operation of the steel making unit of this complex and the completion of its products in order to increase the capacity of steel in the country
