The Minister of Economy announcement: government’s revision to increase gas rates of steel and petrochemical companies.
Ehsan Khandouzi, stated :”The government revised the previous decision on the petrochemical feed rate formula, so a new legislation is being drafted in which the feed rate is based on the formula of 2015 with the price of its export gas and will continue to increase the forecastability of the economy until the end of the seventh development plan.” According to the previous legislation that was nullified by the Parliamentary Legislative Board, the gas rate of steel  DRI complexes was set at 60 percent of petrochemical feed.It is regarding the request of steelmakers from the vice president  to determine 30 percent of this rate based on the petrochemical food rate.The government’s new rate or formula for the price of steel industry gas has not yet been clarified, but gas bills for steel DRI complexes have been issued based on the previous price of 4000 tomans per cubic meter.
