Managing Director of Kurdistan Steel announced: owing to the appropriate season of the year the foundation and concreting operations of the Kurdistan Steel DRI Project have been carried out.
According to the public relation of IMIDRO, he continued: at present 1400 cubic meters in the daily reservoir section are being concreted  and also about 1,500 cubic meters in the foundation of the reformer and 1200 cubic meters in the pile section of Reformer. The pile and concrete section of the furnaces are also in progress.
Managing director of Kurdistan Steel Industries Company  in another part of his speech stated: In the sponge iron sector, the design of mega-modules by iranian technology of Pered is being discussed and this issue is being carefully done. The  progress rate in the engineering sector is 60 percent, in supply more than 8 percent, and in implementation about 9 percent. The overall progress of the project is about 13%.
Ahmadi added: “For the second year of the project,  from August 1402 to 1403 iranian calender, 50 percent  progress  is being considered, hoping that by financing the shareholders it can be achieved.
He noted that Kurdistan steel Company plans a module of 1.6 million tons of sponge iron in Bijar city and a steel mill unit of 1 million tons in Qhorveh city.
He reiterated: The equipment of the Bijar sponge iron project will be built in the Shamsabad construction workshop owned by Foolad Technic Company, including three neutral gas tanks that have recently been completed and are on their way to the Bijar site. The tanks with a capacity of 300,000 liters and weight of 72 tons will arrive at their destination in a few days.
Ahmadi added: there in no particular problem in Bijar sponge iron project and by providing the resources, we can put the project into operation at the scheduled time.”
Ahmadi explained  the Qhorveh steel making project as follows:
In the Qhorveh project, which is intended to run the steel plan with CSP method, and this requires foreign technology, constructive negotiations with foreign company have been carried out, and the contractor is looking forward  to finalize the contract, and after payment We can also receive the engineering  from the selected company and the work of Qhorveh project should start at the appropriate time so that we can finish it by compensating for delays.
