The first meeting of the Localization committee and Development of Iron and Steel Chain Technology was held in the Organization for Scientific and Industrial Research, the International Science and Technology Park of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the Public Relations of National Iranian Steel Company, the main goal of this meeting was the specialized discussion regarding localization and technology development. In this regard, the Localization Committee of Steel Chain has taken two major steps in :”establishing a comprehensive sharing system for suppliers and manufacturers” and “establishing a steel research and technology fund”.
According to this report, representatives of Zobeahan Steel co, managers and representatives from the Ministry of Science, IMIDRO ,National Iranian Steel Company, Association of Steel Producers and Mobarakeh Steel Company, Khuzestan Steel co, Khorasan Steel co, Chadormalou, Golegohar, Opal Parsian, Central Iron Ore, National iranian Steel Company, Sabzevar Steel, Sangan Iron Ore, Iran Alloy Steel, Esfarayen Steel and Irisa were present.
In this meeting it was setteled that the Committee for Localization and Development of Iron and Steel Chain Technology, with the guidance of IMIDRO and the Steel Association and the participation of major companies in the iron and steel chain, to be formed and to follow the mission of strengthening domestic manufacturing in this chain.
In this meeting, Hassan Payab,  the Director of Research, Empowerment of Production and Localization of National Iranian Steel Company, emphasized the cooperation of the Ministry of Science, Research & technology with executive companies in the field of steel and Define collaborative research projects.
