Dr. Bahram Sobhani, president of the Iranian Steel Producers Association while pointing to the role of localization movement in reducing the need for the outlay of foreign currency in steel production, stated: Since 1397, when the movement for localization and maximum utilization of domestic manufacturing power in the steel chain was pursued with strength and effort, the price of steel production has decreased considerably by more than 60% to $ 65 per ton.

Sobhani added: One of the most prominent manifestations of this achievement is the national steel festival and exhibition, which is held annually by the efforts of the Association of Steel Producers and the support of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology, the Ministries of industry, mine &trade and Science and IMIDRO, in which large steel and mining companies offer their domestic manufacturing opportunities and knowledge-based companies offer their capabilities .
