‎ The contract to provide the technology of Iran’s first small-scale LNG unit is being inked between the Oil Industry Research Institute and a steel company.‎

‎Azim Kalantari Asl , while pointing out that storage is one of the  compensate solutions  of gas imbalance in the country, stated : underground storage is being done in some parts of the country and also screening for the selection of suitable storage structures that started in the past, is being followed seriously in the National Oil Company and National Gas Company.‎

‎The head of the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry announced that in the field of ground-based storage, LNG and mini-LNG technologies are considered as one of the methods and continued: Delivery of gas from the national network to industries in the cold seasons of the year when household consumption increases , have some problems and in this technology, gas can be used as a liquefied for these days.‎

‎He said: “The contract is about 18 months and the ground breaking would be performed soon. ­‎
