At the sites designed by the project, large fans take CO2 air directly from the atmosphere and store it underground or convert it into carbon fuels used in industries and transportation after a series of processes.
According to project officials, the site has the capability to absorb 1 million tons of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to 250,000 vehicles pollution.
A new project called “Carbon Engineering” has been created with the aims to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and help prevent negative climate change. The project uses advanced technologies that capture CO2 directly from the air and store it underground or convert it into carbon fuels expendable in industries and transportation.
