Iran’s Steel ingot and Steel products’ apparent consumption during the last Iranian calendar year (ended March19,2024) registered 5.2 percent and 1.2 percent growth respectively y/y.

Iran’s Steel Ingot and Steel Products’ Apparent Consumption Increased

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO quoted by Iran Steel Producers Association, country’s Steel ingot apparent consumption (billet, bloom, slab) stood at 24,273,000 tons during the last Iranian calendar year (from March20,2023 to March19,2024), indicating 5.2 percent rise YoY.

During the period under review, Steel products’ apparent consumption was 19,641,000 tons registering 1.2 percent growth compared to the same period of the year before.

However, the apparent consumption of flat Steel products (cold and coated sheets) increased by 4.7% and long Steel products (beam, rebar, etc.) decreased by 3.5% during the mentioned period.
