2020: 378 million and 800 thousand tons
2021: 436 million and 300 thousand tons

In 2023: the main group of steel export products was hot-rolled sheets and coils, and this year, 75 million and 600 thousand tons of this product were exported in the world, an increase of 11.2% compared to 2022.
Exports of semi-finished steel products in 2023 reached 53 million and 200 thousand tons, an increase of 19.2% compared to 2022.
In 2023, 41 million tons of galvanized steel were exported, with exports growing by 6.8% compared to 2022.
Global exports of steel pipes and rebar also reached 36 million and 500 thousand tons in 2023, an annual growth of 6.7%.
In 2023, 30,300,000 tons of cold-rolled sheets and coils were exported, a decrease of 1.6% compared to 2022.
China, Japan, South Korea, the European Union, and Germany were the world’s largest exporters of steel products last year, and the volume of their exports this year was as follows:
China: 94 million and 300 thousand tons
Japan: 32 million and 200 thousand tons
South Korea: 27 million tons
of the European Union: 26 million tons
Germany: 22 million and 500 thousand tons
In 2023, the European Union was also the world’s largest importer of steel products, with the volume of its imports reaching 39 million and 200 thousand tons. In this year, the United States imported 26 million and 400 thousand tons, Germany and Italy 18 million tons each, and Turkey 18 million tons of steel.
