A member of the Iranian Steel Producers Association, while pointing out that the steel industry has an annual added value of $20 billion for the country, added: “The steel industry is one of the leading industries in the country, which allocates half of the electricity of the industrial sector.”
Rasoul Khalife Soltani, a member of the Iranian Steel Producers Association, regarding the amount of electricity consumption of the steel industry and how to manage the electricity consumption of these industries in the hot season of the year stated: “Productive industries and sectors allocate more than 30% of the country’s electricity consumption, among which half of the electricity of the productive sectors is consumed by the steel industry.”
Pointing out that the steel industry annually makes $20 billion added value for the country, he added: “The steel industry is one of the country’s leading industries, accounting for half of the electricity of the industrial sector.”
Expressing satisfaction with the measures taken by the Ministry of Energy to manage electricity consumption in the summer, Khalife Soltani continued: “Given that we are facing the issue of electricity imbalance in summer , we are trying to manage the consumption of the steel sector with endogenous planning and with the participation of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industry, Mine &Trade and the Steel Producers Association.”
