The Hormozgan Steel Direct Reduction Unit again had a record breaking  with the production of 826,000 tons of sponge iron in the first five months of this year. The Managing Director of Hormozgan Steel Company,while emphasizing the need to supply the raw materials needed for steelmaking in this steel complex, announced a record-breaking in the direct reduction unit and significant production of sponge iron, and stated: Hormozgan Steel workers in the direct reduction unit succeeded in producing 826,000 tons of sponge iron in the first five months of this year, while achieving the highest production rate of this product since the beginning of operation, achieving more than half of the production capacity.‎
