Gholamreza Salimi, Operation Deputy of Mobarakeh Steel company declared: in order to achieve the sustainability of production in Iran’s steel industry the following elements must be considered:‎

‎ 1- Self-sufficiency in energy and raw materials: Investment in dedicated power plants and sustainable supply of raw materials to reduce market risks and resource limitations. ‎

‎2- Circular economy: Reducing waste, recycling materials, and reusing materials in production due to  costs reduction and increasing the productivity. ‎

‎ 3- Development of new steel grades: Production of 10 new steel grades this year, with the aim of meeting domestic needs and reducing imports. ‎

‎ These measures have played a key role in the sustainability and growth of the steel industry. ‎
