According to the Public Relations of the National Iranian Steel Company, the Steel Value Chain Sharing Event was held on December 24 at the conference hall of the Presidential Innovation and Prosperity Fund with the presence of more than forty knowledge-based companies.
At the beginning of this event, Vafaei Fard, the head of Imino, welcomed the guests and thanked all those involved in this event, especially, National Iranian Steel Company.
Mohammad Ghobadi Samani, Managing Director of National Iranian Steel Company, while welcoming the guests, stated: “The steel industry is the only industry that has achieved its goals in the horizon of 1404 through the efforts of its hardworking managers and colleagues, and at present NISCO is responsible for 40% of the country’s non-oil exports.”
Ghobadi added: due to the existing challenges, especially energy imbalances, it will not be possible to continue the process without having organized planning.
He clarified: in order to solve the deficit of electricity and gas imbalance, a large amount of budget is needed, which is currently very difficult to provide.
Pointing out that the country was an importer of steel until 2013, he added, fortunately, with the efforts of this industry, we are currently exporting ten million tons of steel.
We must define serious problems and generate the ideas while going forward to innovations.
referring to the potential of knowledge-based companies, he declared: “These companies must enter in order to solve the problems of this industry.”
It is necessary to identify the headlines of operational problems and we can ink immediately contracts with knowledge-based and creative companies with new ideas.
Ghobadi Samani stated that there are currently a series of international laws such as decarbonization in the steel production process that must be solved.
