In the performance monitoring meeting of the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone, it was announced:

‎Aghajanlou: The Necessity of Developing the ‎‎Persian Gulf Special Zone‎‎ through Export Growth‎ approach

‎The Chairman of the executive Board of Directors of Imidro declared: the development of the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone should be through the approach of export growth, and declared: “Any strategy that is effective in achieving this important issue should be a priority in the programs of this economic zone.” ‎

‎According to the public relations of National Iranian Steel Company quoted Imidro’s Public Relations, Mohammad Aghajanlou, speaking at the meeting to monitor the performance of the Special Economic Zone of Persian Gulf Mining and Metal Industries (a subsidiary of Imidro), added: “Creating a platform for attracting investment, growth of production and exports, and comprehensive& inclusive job creation are among the main goals of the establishment of the Persian Gulf region.”‎

‎He continued: “Imidro  considers the infrastructure development of special economic zones in order to achieve these goals, and now we are witnessing the investment of various industries in these zones.”‎

‎The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines & Trade added: “Allocating gas for the purpose of supplying gas to under construction power plants and providing Its sustainable supply to the industries located in this zone should be among the plans of this zone.”‎
