Regarding the 7th Iran Expo 2025 in Tehran, Managing Director of National Iranian Steel Company stated: “We have the capability to export steel technical and engineering services to Africa.”
According to the Public Relations of National Iranian Steel Company, Younesian noted: during the third Iran-Africa Economic summit in which domestic producers of localized products and equipment, as well as technical, engineering, contracting, and consulting companies in the mining and mineral industries have participated, are ready to sign memorandums of understanding and agreements with African companies.
Managing Director of the National Steel Company of Iran mentioned that NISCO has a 64-year history in the country’s steel industry and has undertaken major projects such as Mobarakeh Steel Co and Khuzestan Steel Co, as well as implementing eight provincial steel projects over the years. He continued: “Fortunately, we have attained Iranian technology in the field of creating sponge iron units named ‘PERED,’ which is equivalent to foreign and sometimes imported technologies. Therefore, we can collaborate on mutual projects with African countries and even the Persian Gulf region by exporting our technical and specialized services in constructing steelmaking and direct reduction units.”
Younesian considered the Expo an opportunity for all participants to meet their technical and specialized needs through mutual understanding and to open new markets to each other and added: Fortunately, we are so rich and self-sufficient in terms of technical and engineering knowledge that we can provide from the exploration and extraction chains to the processing and production of mineral products and mining industries to countries requesting these services.
Managing Director of National Iranian Steel Company considered the untouched nature of the African market in all fields, especially mining and mineral industries, an important feature, and declared: Technical and localized knowledge in various mining fields, along with skilled human resources and the presence of capable managers, have created significant capacity and opportunities for enhancing cooperation.
