The Chairman of the Executive Board of Imidro, emphasized on accelerating the conclusion of a MOU and performing relevant studies and following up on participation in the development and storage of gas fields in a meeting with members of the Association of Steel Producers and large Steel Companies .‎

‎According to the Public Relations of IMIDRO, Mohammad Aghajanlou, in the mentioned meeting, which was attended by Rasoul Khalifeh Soltani, secretary of the Steel producers Association along with the managing directors of steel companies, stated: According to the new decision of the cabinet and citing the Seventh Plan for the development of gas fields to allocate fuel to energy-intensive industries, the formation of a consortium to take over a gas field (Kish) is the best investment method to supply the gas needed by steel units.‎

‎ ‎‎Referring to Note 3 of Article 15 of the Seventh Plan Law , Aghajanloo declared: “Steelmakers are ready to conclude an agreement on several gas fields with the aim of developing and storing natural gas for consumption in the steel industry.”‎
