Today, as our social life has been rightly named as the “age of communication and information explosion”, the role and duty of public relations has become more and more influential.
The current conditions of our society require that public relations should stay away from its traditional and repetitive role and define and launch a new “road map” for itself.
Public relations in the current era, is in fact an eye and an ear and a reliable tool ,which inform the managers and decision makers by summarizing and analyzing the content of events and providing correct feedback.
Today, with the wonderful changes that have occurred in the structure of public relations according to the time’s requirements, the strategic importance of these units for creating effective communication with the society is not hidden to anyone, and it is expected that these units face the crises, accurately explain the events, provide analyses that guarantee the national interests and public security, and carefully consider them So that the decision-making process does not go wrong.
One of the most important duties of public relations in specialized companies such as the National Iranian Steel Company is to provide the necessary strategies to change the threats into development opportunities by observing various developments in the technical, economic, laws and regulations, national and global standards, with the support of the specialized departments of the companies.
