According to IRNA’s economic correspondent, the Director-General of Imports of Iranian Customs notified a directive to executive customs offices regarding the exemption of customs duties for importing machinery with advanced technology by replacing outdated machineries.

Therefore, as the Office of Export and Import Regulations of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has notified the Iranian Customs Administration, the determination and confirmation of units holding renovation and reconstruction permits that are eligible for customs duties exemption for importing the machinery must also be carried out with the approval of the Steering Council of Knowledge-Based Technologies by the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.
