According to IRNA, Seyed Mohammad Atabak in a meeting with economic activists in southern Kerman stated: Copper is considered as one of the areas of development and progress in the Seventh Development Plan because it is one of the aspects and pillars of the country’s development.

He noted:

Kerman can be one of the leading provinces in this field, adding: We have prioritized copper in geological explorations in southern Kerman.

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade stated: Kerman is a province with very special and unique advantages. Aside from its vastness, it is a paradise of mines, with a mineral diversity rarely seen in other provinces. we must be able to pave the way for infrastructure development in Kerman, weather we want more investment in the province
