Public Relations Policy Council of Mine and Mining Industries meeting

The fourth meeting of the Public Relations Policy Council of Mine and Mining Industries regarding “strategy in crisis situations” was held by the Public Relations of IMIDRO and with the presence of Elyas Hazrati, head of the government’s Information Council, and the council’s members at IMIDRO.

According to IMIDRO’s public relations, the head of the government’s Information Council stated: “The enemy was seeking social chaos during the National Defense Days, but thanks to the vigilance of the Supreme Leader, the on-the-ground presence of the President, the bravery of the armed forces and the people, this period ended with our proud achievement of a ceasefire.”

Elyas Hazrati, noted that various sectors of the private sector performed very effectively and well during this period and continued: “All groups and classes, with a sense of patriotism, were seeking to serve and defend the integrity of the country. In this regard, the duty of the media and public relations is very important and prominent in composing narratives of the epic presence of the people and their efforts.

Hazrati pointed out that reflecting and narrating the services of production sectors during the national defense is also of great importance to the Information Council.

Subsequently, the Public Relations Manager of IMIDRO, while appreciating the efforts of the public relations of IMIDRO’s subsidiaries and affiliated Public Relations during the imposed war, stated: “Public relations provided with a specific and coordinated strategy.”

Public relations departments provided integrative information with a clear and coordinated strategy.

Solmaz Edrissi noted that during the crisis, effective communication with the media was set up and, in this regard, the public relations of mining companies also performed very prominently in assisting various production sectors, which deserves appreciation.

‎Emphasizing the need to develop a joint information policy in crisis situations, the public relations manager of Imidro stated: “The integrity of public relations and alignment with national policies  of informing is one of the main requirements to be considered.”‎

Edrissi added: Providing a specific strategy for public relations in the mine and mining industries during the crisis is on the agenda of the Public Relations Policy Council.

 In this meeting, IMIDRO’s subsidiaries and affiliates public relations managers presented the performance reports of the companies during the days of national defense, which mainly focused on the production lines of the companies’ products during this period.
