The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade stated: with the normalization of industries’ electricity supply, we are witnessing an increase in industrial production in recent days.

According to IRNA quoted by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Seyed Mohammad Atabak, in the ministry’s deputies’ council meeting, referring to yesterday’s meeting in which the President, together with the government’s economic team, met with a number of members of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, noted:

An important outcome of such meetings—devoted to directly examining the problems and proposals of producers, traders, and exporters—is the speed in decision-making and issuing the necessary orders to remove obstacles, and we are grateful to the President who yesterday issued good directives in this regard.

He added:

with the normalization of electricity supply for industries, we have witnessed an increase in industrial production in recent days, and Unfortunately, in the past months, in some key industries, the number of useful production days decreased to eleven days per month, which, in addition to the unfavorable effects it has for the country, seriously damages the realization of the quantitative goals of the Seventh Development Plan.

Atabak emphasized the need for serious follow-up and the faster completion of self-supplying power plants for industries, particularly by IMIDRO and the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization.
