With the deployment of a 480-ton crane at the Bijar’s sponge iron project site, the second phase of installing the structure and the furnace for this major project has begun.
According to a report by the Public Relations of the National Steel Company of Iran (NISCO), quoting the Public Relations of Kurdistan Steel Company, in this phase, the structure and main parts of the Bijar sponge iron mega-module project furnace — which are among the heaviest and largest pieces of the project — will be installed. It is worth mentioning that the structure’s height will reach more than 90 meters.
Due to the planning, it is predicted that the installation operations will be completed by the end of autumn.
On the occasion of this important achievement, we extend our congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all the hardworking colleagues of this project, and hope to witness the full launching of this national plan so it is another step forward in the development of the country’s steel industry.
