The 27th Iranian Steel Symposium will be held from 28 to 30 October 2025 on Kish Island focusing on the theme “The Role of Industrial Revolution 4 and 5 and AI in the Green Steel’s production”.
This symposium is one of the most important scientific and industrial events in the country in the field of metallurgy and mining industries. This annual gathering is not just a research conference, but a national forum for the synergy of ideas, the exchange of experiences, and the future vision of Iran’s steel industry.
This symposium’s main goal is the link between *knowledge and industry*, which can reduce the distance between scientific centers and production lines and put domestic knowledge at the service of growth and productivity. The steel industry, as one of the pillars of the country’s economic development, faces challenges such as high energy consumption, the need for new technologies, the limitation of mineral resources, and environmental requirements. Therefore, providing a platform for direct dialogue between industrial managers, academics, and researchers can be an effective step in identifying and removing these barriers.
The Iranian Iron and Steel Association in holding its annual symposiums, has always tried to keep the path of interaction open among different generations of activists in this field.
University professors, graduate students, technical experts, and managers of steel companies work together to review the latest scientific findings and technical achievements. This two-way interaction not only helps to promote specialized knowledge, but also paves the way for the commercialization of research and the transformation of academic ideas into industrial projects.
Another goal of this event is * strengthening international cooperation* and present Iran’s domestic capacities on the global stage. The presence of major steel companies, research centers, and universities alongside foreign experts can provide a valuable opportunity for technology transferring the technology, market development, and understanding global trends in the steel industry.
IMIDRO & NISCO, along with the steel companies, have an active presence at this symposium.
